I'm a Software Engineer for MapQuest in Denver Colorado. I write iOS apps, Mac apps and web apps. I enjoy work­ing with large data sets, and solv­ing interest­ing problems. I studied at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and at Cornell University.

Programming

I have been programming longer than I can remember, doing it for work and for fun. There's been lots of MATLAB, C, Objective-C, python, Java, and R (and historically, Logo, BASIC, and MIPS and ARM assembly). See a port­folio of some of my Projects.

This website is backed by a custom CMS I built in python and runs on Google App Engine.

Music

I'm self-taught on the gui­tar, and have been play­ing since about 2001. Some videos of my play­ing gained pop­u­lar­i­ty on YouTube around 2006.
